The I GROUP Talent Agency, Critical Moves Motion Capture Studio, and Malota’s Martial Arts Studio have formed a partnership to provide this unique service that few other places outside of Hollywood can provide.
This pool of over 50 actors and actresses are professionally trained by Peter Malota, a Birmingham based martial arts expert with over 20 years experience in the film industry as an actor, stunt coordinator, and martial arts choreographer.
Peter has worked with an exhaustive list of Hollywood’s top martial arts actors, directors, choreographers, including Jean Claude Van Damme and Vic Armstrong.
The actors are trained in the fundamentals of fighting on film, including hand-to-hand combat, fight reaction, tumbling, rolls, stunt techniques, and fight choreography.
Coordination and hiring of these specially trained actors is done exclusively through The I GROUP.
Critical Moves is Detroit’s only mobile motion capture studio, and is one of the most sophisticated state of the art studios in the nation, with a 50+ camera Vicom Motion Capture mobile studio, which is capable of remote video direction.
Motion Capture is the same technology used to film actors for video games and animated cinematics like those featured in the recent film "Beowulf" directed by Robert Zemeckis or video games like Madden 2008 & Grand Theft Auto.
Critical Moves has just completed filming the cinematic portion of the new Ironman 2 video game. Featured in the filming was The I GROUP exclusive Sarah Habel*, and agency actors John DeMerell, Rusty Mewha, and Jerome Crawford.
With this new partnership, The I GROUP again revolutionizes the Detroit market, providing for the unique needs the growing film market presents.
