MISS MICHIGAN USA®
The i GROUP is the exclusive agency representing current title holders of the Miss MICHIGAN USA and Miss MICHIGAN TEEN USA pageants. The Miss MICHIGAN USA pageant, which started in 1952, is an instrumental step toward the title of Miss Universe. This years winner of the Miss MICHIGAN title, Lindsey Tycholiz, was crowned last September in Port Huron and just recently competed for the Miss USA crown in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Lindsey and her Miss Teen USA compatriot Kristen Danyal, who will be competing for the Miss Teen USA crown on July 31st in the Bahamas, are signed exclusively with The i GROUP for the current calendar year. The i GROUP also has several past winners as members including Elisabeth Crawford (‘08), Kelly Best (‘07), Crystal Hayes (’05), Rebekah Decker (’02), and Carole Gist (‘90) the first Miss MICHIGAN to be crowned Miss USA.
Kristen, a native of Sterling Heights, will attend The University of Detroit Mercy this fall. Lindsey is a graduate of Oakland University with a Bachelors degree in Music Education. She will advocate for breast and ovarian cancer awareness and promote education of the arts in Michigan schools during her one year reign as Miss MICHIGAN. A humble victor, Lindsey believes “it is my turn to give back to my state and nation all I have taken and learned.” Already, Lindsey is making good on her promise, appearing at the “In Her Shoes” event to raise money for The Haven and their goal to eliminate domestic violence. In addition, Lindsey dazzled at Hour Magazine’s “Best of Detroit” ceremony, was featured in The Detroit Free Press, and impressed the viewing public on Fox 2, all the time espousing her mission with style and grace, exemplifying the very best of the Miss MICHIGAN pageant.
Lead agent Tony DiMambro also had the pleasure of judging the pageant in 2005, an experience he describes as “incredibly challenging but a great deal of fun.” To find out more about the pageant, including a full list of past winners, you can go to The i GROUP website.
