The i CARES
The i GROUP is honored to support Detroit’s Fallen and Wounded Soldiers Fund in their mission to aid veterans that return home to the United States only to find the level of support for their recovery woefully inadequate. Providing economic support grants to Detroit area veterans, the FWSF provides the compassionate helping hand so many wounded veterans need by raising money primarily through contributions collected during their annual FWSF dinner and auction.
The i GROUP Exclusive Lindsey Tycholiz, Miss MICHIGAN USA 2009, appeared and assisted in the record setting 1000 person event conducted by master of ceremonies Chuck Gadica of WDIV news. We invite all of you to learn more about the FWSF website by visiting fwsf.org.
Phill DiMambro was contacted by the organization Detroit Women in Film & Television to assist in their May 30th conference on Stunt and Motion Capture. Phill suggested they consider something new and was happy to recommend Pam & Thad Johnson, founders of Critical Moves Motion Capture Studio. The i GROUP and Critical Moves have partnered on numerous projects, Pam notes that she and Thad are “always amazed at the high-level of talent The i GROUP has, making our projects successful.” Pam & Thad spoke and demonstrated the art of motion capture acting and filming at the 5E gallery in Corktown, Detroit. Detroit Women in Film & Television’s purpose is to empower, promote, nurture, honor and mentor women in the industry through a network of valuable contacts, events, and programs. Phil reached out and joined Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson in supporting “Boost Oakland Business”, a not-for-profit organization that provides funds to promote economic development, business attraction, and job creation in Oakland County.
We are pleased to announce the hiring this past summer of director extraordinaire Bill Scarlett, by one of The i GROUP’s best clients, Red Orange USA. We snapped a picture of Bill contemplating a tasty beverage from our soda fountain during a brief break in his commercial casting for Crittenton Hospital. The spot, directed by Bill and produced at Red Orange USA, featured a variety of The i GROUP talent.
Other Red Orangers spotted around The i GROUP, though they avoided photographic confirmation, include Zak Kareem and Barry Meier. In addition, while he rarely graces our halls, a special shout out to Ed Krajewski, who is always with us in spirit for every Red Orange USA project.
We are also excited about the new alliance formed by Red Orange USA and Bond Films, a regional commercial production company that will provide a well rounded balance to the existing production team at Red Orange USA. Bond partners and friends of The i GROUP, Marguerite Parise and Andre Bond will bring their expertise and talent to the alliance, with Andre serving as Executive Producer and head of national sales.
